THE JOB Here’s what the job entails In the role, your primary function will be to make sure that our trade controlling operations are executed in a precise and timely manner. Also, you will act as the primary stakeholder for our Climate Markets business team. Further, your areas of responsibility will include the following: handle trade validation, confirmations and clearing of exchange trades execute delivery of certificates ensure efficient and correct reporting of trade details to authorities, including EMIR and REMIT reporting as well as declarations provide input to optimisation of processes ensure high quality and maintenance of various types of master data relating to Danske Commodities' commodity trades, including contract master data THE TEAM Meet the team You will join our Customer Operations & Reporting team that works with trade validation and master data. Our purpose is to gather all tasks related to the operations of our trading business. As such, we act as the operational link in Danske Commodities (DC), connecting the entire DC value chain. We create value by ensuring proper trade controlling, timely reporting and high-quality trading data. Gathering these tasks in one team allows for a more efficient operational trading setup – while also paving the way for us to grow our customer business.We are a team of nine skilled, quality-minded and committed employees, covering different areas within trade validations, reporting and data quality. As such, we are a diverse team with different professional and educational backgrounds. You will play an important role in our value chain as you will be responsible for connecting our front office trading activities with our back office processes Maria Terp-NielsenManager, Head of Customer Operations & Reporting YOUR QUALIFICATIONS But enough about us… over to you! As you will be working with a lot of data that require great attention to detail, we imagine that you are detail-oriented and precise. Also, to secure well-running business operations, we are looking for someone who employs a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, choosing the best solution for each problem – and that you see opportunities where others see problems. Furthermore, we imagine that you: are a recent graduate or have 1-2 years of experience from a similar position or as a business controller or accountant (or something completely different). Your background is not the tipping point for us – what we look for is someone who takes pride in high-quality work, enjoys working with data and can transform broad information into specific actions are great at coordinating and enjoy dealing with different stakeholders have good Excel skills enjoy working in a structured manner, thrive on operational tasks and have an analytical way of thinking are proficient in English – both written and verbal Please note that it is not a requirement to have prior knowledge of the energy industry to enter this role.
