Your role As a Saab Global Category Manager, you will have the responsibility for developing the category with a Saab Group perspective. In order for you to be successful you need to ensure tight collaboration with the local category managers and other stakeholders within the business areas. You will be responsible for leading the Category team on Saab level. This responsibility will span from defining and managing Category projects to making sure we are joined up and collaborate efficiently as an organisations towards the supply market. Specific projects may be e.g. negotiating global contracts; developing common ways of working; establishing category strategies. As the category manager you will be instrumental to raising our professionalism by being a respected informal leader, supporting our organisation with business intelligence, knowledge and make sure we use our joined up knowledge and resource in an efficient manner. Your profile To fit in this role, you must be highly self-motivated, structured and communicative. You have a proven track record as Category manager preferably within area of electronics, additive manufacturing or chemicals. When collaborating with stakeholders, you are confident with the ability to build relationships, influence and provide advice to key decision makers. Your leadership skills are proven and you are able to work independently, setting your own demanding objectives and translating those into strategic plans with a medium- to long-term view. Required skills: Master degree in relevant field, or equivalent experience Minimum five years of relevant experience, in procurement or management consulting Highly developed business acumen Track record of effective project and change management Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish, written and verbal Knowledge of regulatory requirements in global procurement Exceptional drive Desired skills: Experience from defence and/or aviation industry This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection.
