IT 1st Line Supporter

The Job

As part of the Global Service Desk, you will provide 1st line support to all u-blox users globally by investigating and resolving IT issues on hardware and software, ensuring all interactions are logged in the ITSM tool. The team is responsible for the delivery of an effective IT support service to end users. Your responsibilities: Work as part of a team to resolve IT user issues and ensure Helpdesk system status and content are up-to-date Investigate and resolve hardware and software problems for users and systems onsite and in remote offices including: Windows clients Printers Mobile phones  Stage/install client systems  Participate and manage office moves, adds and changes to facilitate a seamless transition Escalate difficult or high-impact problems to the manager, keeping them advised as the situation changes Adhere to and contribute to IT Policy Support with asset tracking to ensure an up-to-date view of u-blox assets is always available and creating and maintaining documentation such as installation guides and FAQs; facilitate teamwork by documentation and sharing of work practices Ensure all hardware and software license agreements are fulfilled Your skills and experience: Proven track record in a 1st Level Help Desk role or similar and working within a team Able to install / cable hardware and use a helpdesk system Operation and support of Windows 10 desktops with Office365  Working knowledge of Networking  Experience in installing and administration of O365 including Outlook & Teams  Strong communications skills, Excellent German and English communication skills, both verbal and written High level of hardware troubleshooting experience and technical skills to support mixed Linux and Windows environments  +1 year of experience Experience in multinational organizations would be a plus Swiss- or EU-citizen or valid work permit for Switzerland  Qualifications University degree in Computer Science or Computer engineering or similar experience ITILv4 Foundation qualification is a plus   Our Offer: We offer a challenging position within an international work environment in a successful company.
