ABOUT THE INTERNSHIPS ***IMPORTANT: During your application, please mention which internship you apply for. 1. Digital Marketing and Communications Intern Developing a communication strategy and runninga campaign around the green portfolio offer. The intern will be part of the Western Europe team (Benelux, UK, Nordics countries) and report to the market development manager. The person will be in closed contact with different sales managers through European teams. Your main responsibilities: Suggestinga digital communication strategy (social medias, website, press release,…) Developingthe communication campaign on the different channels Animatingand optimize the communication Supportingthe communication coordination at European level Following-up on the communication campaign analytics and report it Education: Students in Communication , Marketing or related field. Languages: Fluency in English is a must. Any other language is a plus. Skills/Attitudes : Experience with digital marketing/SEO/marketing strategy is a plus. Duration: 3-6 months . Preferably starting as soon as possible. 2. Communication Projects Intern You will report and work closely with Lhoist Communities Management Director. You will take an active part in the organization of one of Lhoist most popular global well-being and social responsibility event, called ‘Move & Care Challenge’. Your main responsibilities: Support ing the organization of Move & Care 2023 (application, communication campaigns, materials etc.) Build ing a communication plan for the challenge to achieve high participation and engagement rates. Support ing Lhoist regions internationally by providing communication materials and guidelines and take an active role in implementing the campaign in our Group Headquarters. Education: Students in Communication, Marketing or related field. Languages: Fluency in English is a must. Any other language is a plus. Skills/Attitudes: Excellent writing and communication skills in English. Knowledgeable in the creation of an engaging communication plan. Creative, structured and organized. Duration: 4-5 months, starting in March 2023. 3. Campus Recruitment Intern As a Campus Recruitment Intern, you will support the Talent Acquisition team in developing the company’s employer branding strategy by boosting its presence on site and digital channels both internally and externally. Your main responsibilities: Taking a very active role in managing the recruitment of interns including participating in interviews and preparing agreements. Supporting the hiring manager on the development of recruitment processes. Designing an communication plan. Preparing content on social media to increase our visibility in the eyes of students and early careers. Supporting the hiring manager on building partnerships with universities and technical schools in Belgium and Europe. Education: Student ideally in Human Resources, Psychology or related fields. Languages: Fluency in English is a must. French is a plus. Skills/Attitudes: Enjoys multitasking and creative tasks, well organized, pays good attention to details and respects deadlines, effective communication; both orally and in writing. Duration: 3-6 months, starting in March/April 2023. 4. Market Analyst Intern (CO2) You will be working on the Carbon Challenge in a global industrial company and learning from expert colleagues. Your main responsibilities: Actively participatingin the day-to-day activities of CO2-related business development in collaboration with other functions. Contributingto develop sustainability initiatives/investigate possible target setting/reporting schemes. Providingsupport to strategic market analysis. Education : Business Engineering, Management or related field. Languages: Fluency in English is a must. French is a plus. Skills/Attitudes: analytical skills, autonomous, collaborative Duration: 4 - 6 months. Starting in March 2023. 5. Learning & Development Analytics Intern In this role, you will Establish L&D KPI’s and metrics which support European reporting requirements and demonstrate the value of our global L&D programs. Your main responsibilities: Understanding what the law obliges the company to report Connecting with other organizations and internal L&D Partners to determine best practice and share ideas Partnering with the HRIS team to understand existing reporting capabilities; conducting a review of training data to ensure accuracy Creating a resolution and implementation plan Education: Students in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Law with an interest in Human Resources or related field. Languages: Fluency in English is a must. French is a plus. Skills/Attitudes: Analytical mindset, flexible, able to support team in handling “short/no notice” demands as well as multiple projects at the same time. Proactively seek work and opportunities to learn. Duration: 4-6 months. Preferably starting in March/April 2023. 6. Learning & Development Projects Intern In this role, you will g uide and support the implementation of learning and development projects across the business. Your main responsibilities: Creating new training content. Coordinating and supporting the logistics of virtual, in-person and blended training events and programs. Developing learning journeys for key roles in the organization including new hires, new managers,leadersand key talents. Education: Students in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Law with an interest in Human Resources or related field. Languages: Fluency in English is a must. French is a plus. Skills/Attitudes: Creative, good level of knowledge in Power Point, flexible, able to support team in handling “short/no notice” demands as well as multiple projects at the same time. Proactively seek work and opportunities to learn. Duration: 4-6 months. Preferably starting in March/April 2023. 7. IT Cyber Security Intern As IT Cyber Security Intern, you will be part of the “Security & Risks” team, and you are responsible for contributing to the reduction of information security risks to an acceptable level. Your main responsibilities: Developing search queries to identify specific cybersecurity events in the corporate SIEM system Reviewing and improving security awareness training program, including phishing exercises Configuring tooling for the day-to-day management of information security risks and controls (GRC) Education : Students in Computer Science, preferably with minor in IT Security or Automation Engineering Languages: Fluency in English is a must. French is a big plus. Skills/Attitudes : Analytical skills and have the capability to translate risks into applicable controls and remediating actions. Familiar with database query languages (in particular Kusto Query Language – KQL). Passionate about IT and IT Security. Duration: 2 or more months. Preferably starting in March/April 2023. 8. Circular Economy Intern Develop and contribute to circular economy strategy and support our teams in identifying and developing circular economy indicatives. The intern will be part of the Western Europe team (Benelux, UK, Nordics countries) and report to the market development manager. The person will be in closed contact with different sales managers through European teams. Your main responsibilities: Developingan inventory of the existing circular economy initiatives Developingan inventory of all the Lhoist’s customer co/by-products related to the use of Lhoist’s products in their processes Identifyingthe range of all existing solutions/start-ups which deal with the co/by-products of our customers Developinginitial feasibility study/business case both from customer and Lhoist perspective Education: Students i n Business and Engineering or related field. Languages: Fluency in English is a must. Any other language is a plus. Skills/Attitudes: Genuine passion to make world a better place. Duration: 3-6 months. Preferably starting in May/June 2023. 9. Procurement Analyst Intern You will be in charge of building a detailed analysis of the spend activity of Lhoist Western Europe, as to identify the weaknesses in our master data, the opportunities to improve our supplier landscape and/or review our sourcing strategy. Your input will serve our Sourcing Managers and Master Data team to deploy a medium-long term strategy and action list. Your main responsibilities: Analyzing database (excel skills needed) and identify database cleaning opportunities Investigating, identifying and suggesting improvement opportunities Reporting to local team and management (PowerPoint skills needed) Creating a roadmap of actions and align with local sourcing manager Education: Students i n Business, Management, Marketing, Data Science or related field. Languages: Fluency in English is a must. French is a big plus. Skills/Attitudes: Analytical mindset, advanced excel skills, good skills in Power Point and master data cleaning. Duration: 3-6 months. Preferably strating in May/June 2023. 10. Business Intelligence Intern The objective of thisInternship is to start from the existing marketing and sales database and GIS tools, to improve and redesign where necessary and to make it operational and effective in a globally organized company. Your main responsibilities: Content Management and data integrity validation. Evaluating of IT platform, with possible integration and automatization with existing reporting tools like BW analyzer (SAP) and PowerBI . Further development of Dashboards and GIS systems, useable as Management Information system in the company network. Setting up of automatic tools for recurrent reporting and statistics. Education: Students i n Business and Engineering or related field. Languages: Fluency in English is a must . French or Dutch are a plus. Skills/Attitudes: Knowledge of IT tools ( PowerBI or Tableau) , Database management and GIS (ArcGIS) is a plus. Duration: 3-6 months. Preferably starting in September 2023. 11. Sustainable Procurement Intern As a sustainable procurement intern, you will be involved in projects aiming to improve sustainability of Lhoist procurement and supply chain. Your main responsibilities: Conductingsmall external research on several sustainable procurement topics Participatingto the development of sustainable supply chain internal methodologies (sustainability assessments/audits, supplier carbon emission monitoring,etc) Developingperformance indicators for sustainable procurement Providingsupport for the development of internal sustainability trainings (circular procurement) Education: Students i n Business and Engineering or related field. Languages: Fluency in English is a must. Any other language is a plus. Skills/Attitudes: Strong analytical skills, team player, enthusiast Duration: 3-6 months. Preferably starting in September 2023. 12. Supply Chain Intern You are thrilled by real-life problem solving and advanced analytics?We offer you the opportunity to work on concrete Supply Chain optimization projects in a global industrial company, using and developing analytics tools to improve our business performance. Join our team for an optimization journey. Your main responsibilities: Performing strategic analysis to optimize our Supply Chain footprint in Europe Using & developing optimization models and advanced planning software Communicating results & recommendations using business intelligence tools (egPowerBI, …) Education: Business Engienering, Management, Economic or related field. Languages: Fluency in English is a must. French is a big plus. Skills/Attitudes: Strong analytical skills: basic mathematical modeling experience is a plus, hands-on attitude, action oriented, curious, business-minded, tech-savy, good communication skills. Duration: 2-5 months. October/November 2023. 13. Scientific and Technical Intelligence Intern During the internship, you, as scientific and technical information intern, will be part of the Intellectual Property team of the Business Innovation Centre, under supervision of Information Specialist. Your main responsibilities: Supporting our innovation teams to develop and update the patent watch and technical & scientific monitoring atcorporatelevel as well as on requested projects, notably for the regional entities. Strengthen your skills and abilities in strategy of patent searching and patent databases."Patbase" fromMinesoft: interface, commands, search preparation, online searches, data analytics, export of results and reporting. Supporting non patent literature searches (landscapes of technologies etc.) and monitoring, usingDigimind. Taking initiatives and making an audit of documentation service processes to suggest improvements. Education: Student in Innovation Management, Economic intelligence, Infodoc with basic knowledge of intellectual property and chemistry. Languages: Fluency in English is a must. French is a big plus. Skills/Attitudes: Analytical mindset, customer-focused, strong reporting and communication skills. Basics of patent knowledge is a big plus. Curious, flexible, reactive, committed, result oriented with team spirit . Duration: 3-4 months , part time is possible (few days a week). Can start anytime in 2023.
