What we offer Within the Supply Chain & Logistics Center of Excellence, the Customer Excellence and Digital solutions team focus on developing projects that contribute to realize End-to-End Supply Chain Digital Strategy by standardization & automation of processes, End-to-End digital integration and improvement of digital experience with the ultimate goal to achieve Customer Excellence. Your responsibilities within the Customer Excellence & Digital solutions team will include : Under the supervision of the simulation Project Manager you 1) will perform simulation coding and mathematical optimization calculations to support decision making in investment projects, to identify current or future bottlenecks in Covestro's supply chains, and to solve real-world optimization problems 2) will explain the results of simulations/optimizations and advise on how to use them and derive analysis You will perform data analysis regarding material and information flows along the supply chain. You will of course be looked after by the project manager on the lead You will learn to review existing processes, identify improvement potentials and align with internal stakeholders how automated solutions can contribute to gain efficiency and autonomy within the E2E Supply Chain You will create automated solutions using UiPath and Power Automate under the supervision of our Automation Developers You will learn how to document ideas, the development of them and the final result. This will be done following our corporate standards and under supervision of Project Managers You will be part of a global community looking after appropriate automations, simulations and optimizations for the front- and back-end Supply Chain You will learn about methodologies and tools useful when managing Projects and improving Processes We offer an up-to six months internship starting asap. What you offer You are an enrolled senior student (m/f/d) in Engineering, Information Technology or related fields First experiences in logistics and the chemical industry would be an advantage You have first experiences with VBA (basic level) and preferably with optimization and/ or simulation tools (e.g. Supply Chain Guru, INOSIM) Experiences in Phyton will also be an advantage You have excellent skills in Excel You understand processes very quickly and have the ability to link data to those processes You are able to collect, organize and analyze different data sources You are communicative, careful, independent and responsible You have strong analytical and logical thinking capabilities Fluent German and English round off your profile For a first contact, please contact Ms. Theano Katsidou: theano.katsidou@covestro.com Salary : Minimum wage
