You will be joining the BSR-LV product line which is located in Freising, Germany and is working in the fields of inductive DCDC converters. We focus on fully integrated buck converters in the low voltage area (<7V), supporting a broad range of applications requiring ultra-low load currents as well as up to even 100A. About the Job The BSR LV product line is seeking for a highly motivated Digital Design Engineer with up to three years of experience in the semiconductor world. As a member of an experienced design team you will be part of developing innovative DCDC buck switching regulator devices. You will be interacting with a variety of other teams on a daily basis - digital and analog IP team, verification engineers, physical design engineers and system engineering team during the development of the devices and during Silicon bring up. You will ensure high quality RTL deliverables by using state of the art tools and flows for quality checks. As a digital design engineer in our team you will gain or further enhance your in-depth knowledge of semiconductor digital design including RTL coding, simulation, timing closure, verification and synthesis. Example products we have built are TPS62870, TPS62840, TPS62A01, TPS62810 As a Digital Design Engineer, the key responsibilities are the following but not limited to: Handling the complete digital design flow (frontend and backend) RTL Design, synthesis, P&R, timing closure, formal checks (lint, cdc, ...), DFT Digital core complexity and functionality: 3k - 20k Gates and <100 bytes of NVM memory Communication interface, NVM handling, device behavior, fault handling and protection features Discussing specifications with our system engineers and translating these into design requirements Collaborate closely with digital/analog designers and system engineers to define together the needed functionality and behavior Working closely with test and product engineers to ensure that design-for-test standards are considered up-front Work with physical design team for floor planning and timing analysis Supervise IC layouts to ensure a high-performance standard Maintain and extend digital flow and evaluate new tools In close collaboration with the EDA team Participate in design reviews and creating the necessary design and product documentation Minimum requirements: Bachelor or Master Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent qualification Recently graduated and/or with up to 2 years of experience in a professional role Preferred qualifications: Experience in digital circuit design (Frontend) preferable for DCDC converter or similar very analog oriented devices Synthesis, STA, Lint checkers, Clock domain crossing (CDC) checkers, Logic equivalence checking Experience with Verilog and System Verilog for design Good understanding of standard communication protocols like I2C, SPI etc. Ideally backend experience Being able to work without a comprehensive digital specification Basic scripting skills (Ruby, Python, Perl, ...)
