We are looking for you, an ambitious master's or bachelor's student (m/f), to support our Finance organization by doing an internship project in Audit for our location in Terneuzen, The Netherlands. The department that will welcome you is Corporate Audit. The Corporate Auditing department employees work as internal auditors of the company. The primary focus of Corporate Auditing is to review, asses, and report on the status of internal controls within Dow of IT, financial, and operational processes in an independent, objective, and accountable manner, with unrestricted access to information and personnel. It also provides education on internal controls and risks management during the audit process. Project description and main responsibilities The candidate will participate in 1 or 2 corporate audits as a guest auditor, Audits can be in a variety of different areas such as Manufacturing, Purchasing, Human Resources, Treasury, and Market-Sell. A typical audit work would include working with a staff or In-charge auditor to learn how to conduct an audit, review workpapers from a prior or similar audit, conduct data analysis, and become familiar with the auditing software program, assisting audit staff with their work or completing assigned work such as walkthroughs and sample testing. Other experience may include writing business issues and helping to determine the audit opinion. Qualifications You are currently studying for a bachelor's degree or master's degree or equivalent in Finance or Economics. You have a good working knowledge of English ; other language will be a plus. You have excellent Microsoft office skills (MS Teams, Excel, and Word). You can start in April 2023 for a period of 5-6 months (exact date will be discussed). Self-motivated, skepticism, team player and meticulous attention to detail. You are keen on identifying and driving opportunities for (future) improvements. You are having good analytical and project management skills. You can communicate effectively in a multi-cultural environment. What we offer?
