The Job

Are you inspired by consumer behavior in food solutions all around the world? At Puratos Headquarters, we are looking for a dynamic Consumer Insights Coordinator for the organization of our mobile sensory research center: the Sensobus. A deep understanding of consumer taste preferences is at the heart of our activities and driver of our innovations, Puratos Sensobus is our flagship of consumer sensory research. You coordinate Sensobus Europe to have consumers taste and evaluate bakery, patisserie and chocolate products of tomorrow. Key Accountabilities You make the best out of the Sensobus by setting up & coordinating the Sensory missions in Belgium and throughout Europe. You are responsible to assure reliability and correct execution of sensory analysis protocol. You will be coached & supported on the job by the Group Consumer Insights Manager. You are in contact with Puratos affiliates abroad & Marketing/R&D at HQ for all practical details of the sensory projects: location of the Sensobus, consumer traffic, test products, travel arrangements, … You travel (by airplane, train or car) to each Sensobus mission to ensure product sampling & presentation in line with our quality & sanitary standards, make sure sampling targets are met, supervise the work of hostesses recruiting participants in the street etc, … You work in team with an external driver in charge of the transport. Together you will install and set up the Sensobus before the mission. You follow up the technical/maintenance aspects of the Sensobus and invoice administration. Next to the Sensobus, you work together with the team on intelligence related projects & assignments, amongst others: following up of market, customer and competitor trends. You have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or management studies, a working experience of 1-3 years in marketing and/or sensory research is a plus. You have an interest in food & consumer research and inspired by the understanding of local consumer culture’s diversity in food. You are dynamic, open-minded and you are ready to work independently within a diverse and global business community. You work accurately and show strong organizational and project management skills. No project is the same, you are able to adapt and take decisions to solve any unforeseeable issue. You are fluently in English (written/spoken), other languages are a plus. You are willing to travel 40-50% of your time, sometimes during weekends. Why should you join Puratos?
