Role specialisation Market Infrastructure Working time Full time Place of work Frankfurt am Main, Germany Closing date 06.02.2023 Your team You will be part of the Market Infrastructure Support Division in the Directorate General Market Infrastructure and Payments. The main task of the 200 people working in the Directorate is to coordinate ECB activities that relate to providing payment and securities settlement services, overseeing financial market infrastructures and payment instruments, and achieving financial market integration through cooperation with market stakeholders. We also work with financial institutions and non-euro area central banks on policy matters relating to regional and global developments in the field of market infrastructure and payments. We are currently in the process of launching two market infrastructures that will enhance the Eurosystem Collateral Management System and our payments and securities settlement services, as well as running an investigation phase for the digital euro. In your role as a Market Infrastructure and Payments Communication Specialist, you will be part of the four-person communications team. The team is responsible for preparing communication materials for the financial industry on our TARGET Services and more general market infrastructure and payments topics. This work involves engaging with our external audience through different communication platforms and tools, including newsletters, social media posts, website content, events, presentations, briefing materials and media monitoring, among others. The team works closely with colleagues across the Directorate General Market Infrastructure and Payments as well as the Directorate General Communications. Your role As a Market Infrastructure and Payments Communication Specialist you will: manage the social media accounts of the Directorate General, develop content and analyse its influence; draft website content on market infrastructure and payments topics and coordinate its publication; engage and collaborate with senior management on external communications activities; support event management for the Directorate General's large market events and conferences; develop newsletters and news items for external distribution; provide support and advice for senior management speaking engagements; engage and collaborate with stakeholders across the ECB. Qualifications, experience and skills Essential: a bachelor's degree or equivalent in economics, business administration, management of European affairs, European or international relations, European studies, communication, journalism or another relevant field; in addition to the above, a minimum of two years' experience - including traineeships and/or internships - in the field of market infrastructure and payments and/or communication topics, including a minimum of one year's experience preparing communication materials and campaigns for external audiences; a sound understanding of market infrastructure and payments topics, such as payments and securities settlement systems and retail payments; extensive experience using Microsoft Office for the purpose of creating communication materials and campaigns; an advanced (C1) command of English and an intermediate (B1) command of at least one other official language of the EU, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages . Desired: experience using Adobe Illustrator or other visual communication tools. You engage collaboratively with others.
