We’re looking for a UNIX Systems Admin to join the team. Does this sound like a good role for you? In this role you will support the local Team located in Erfurt, Germany. The local support will embrace help on user end support to the local team as well as extended support for other IT teams. In addition to local end user support there will be the focus on remote Datacenter and engineering support. This contains Windows and Linux infrastructure as well as grid farms to ensure the success of our customers. Majority of our mixed environment is based on Linux machines. Key Qualifications Basic network knowledge Skills in services like Apache, Jenkins, MySQL, PostgreSQL, LDAP Programming skills in Shell scripting, Perl, Python Virtualization (VMware, XEN, KVM, oVirt, Docker) Network based storage (NFS, CIFS, iSCSI) Preferred Experience Experience in Windows OS (Server/Workstation) Experience with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook…) Experience in Linux (RHEL/CentOS, SuSE and Debian/Ubuntu) Good English skills (writing and verbal) At Synopsys, we’re at the heart of the innovations that change the way we work and play.
