Job Description You will join a team of experts to drive and shape our research about infrastructure supported autonomous driving and vehicle to vehicle communication. Our objective is to pave the way for the successful adoption of safety-critical features to vehicle to vehicle communication protocols at Bosch, typically done together with leading academic institutions and other industrial partners in a publicly funded project You develop distributed functions, concepts and algorithms with the focus on autonomous driving. Focus of your work is the development of concepts for safe and reliable communication that support infrastructure based autonomous systems. Thereby, you pay attention on efficient realizations but also on functional safety. Your work comprises the analysis of the state-of-the-art, simulation, implementation and validation of your concepts and ideas. Real feasibility can be shown by realizing the outcome as part of a proof-of-concept implementation in a real vehicle. You work with cutting edge technology and shape the future of autonomous driving. Qualifications Education: Successfully completed university degree in the field of computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable subject, preferably with a relevant PhD Experience and Knowledge: Interest and experience in prototype implementation and system evaluation of autonomous driving features is helpful. Personality and Working Practice: Open-mindedness. Enjoyment of teamwork. High level of commitment and initiative. Qualification: Very good knowledge in the area of communication protocols, V2X or distributed systems. Ideally also know-how or first experience in functional safety and realization of safety concepts (ISO26262, etc.) Languages: Very good English language skills. German is a plus.
