Your Role The ZEISS Innovation Hub @ KIT is a dynamic research and development team working on developing future products and applications in the ZEISS business units. As part of the circular economy team, you would explore new technologies, build experimental setups, and develop ways of implementing them to solve pressing issues for remanufacturing. As part of the team, you will be involved in a variety of activities ranging from: Design, build, and test custom opto-mechanical imaging systems, including hardware and software design Work with our industrial and academic partners in developing new solutions for automation, advanced diagnostics, and data acquisition/processing Collaborate with our industrial quality teams on understanding the customer problems and building custom solutions to address them Explore new technologies in scientific and industrial spaces, and evaluate their feasibility for further development Conduct basic business case analysis on technical product or business fields Your Profile You are enrolled in a bachelor/masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mechatronics, or equivalent You have prior experience in industrial engineering projects, and building experimental setups You have an understanding of mechanical and optical systems and a willingness to work closely with customers to fully understand the problem requirements You are able to work in an agile innovative environment, with often changing project scope and project deliverables You have excellent communication skills in English, including technical writing and presentations You are open to participating in projects outside of current expertise in a supporting/learning role Your ZEISS Recruiting Team: Franziska Gansloser, Selina Safradin
