As a Retail Finance Working Student, you will be actively involved in in the preparation of the month-end closing activities, and will be responsible for the maintenance and further development of management reporting. Together with our finance analysts you will support on cost-effectiveness and variance analyses, and work on specific and cross-divisional issues to help our business deliver the best to our customers. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects across our businesses and market places (full ownership or in collaboration with a team), and will have the chance to get exposure to our senior management. Your ability to work autonomously on the topics you own and your creativity in inventing and simplifying the current status quo will be recognized and valued. About the team Amazon teams work to help improve the selection and shopping experience for customers across our product categories, from books to fashion, electronics to grocery, movies and music to toys and health & beauty, and everything in between. As a Finance Working Student, you will learn how Amazon handles its e-commerce retail business, working alongside a finance manager to help provide a suite of services designed to support Amazon's most strategic brands within our retail categories. Your priority will be to work backwards from the customer, identifying ways to grow brands and improve their performance. To help you in delivering your objectives, you will be able to rely on valuable training and onboarding, and the strong network you will create within your team and through social events. In parallel you will also have the necessary flexibility in your work setup to succeed in your studies. Visit our EMEA Student Programs Team Events page to register for one of our upcoming events: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • Currently enrolled as a student receiving a Bachelor's or Master's Degree for the complete duration of the employment as a working student • Graduation date is no earlier than in January 2024 or after the end of your working student contract (whichever is later) • Available as working student starting this year and for the length of 6 to 12 months. • Knowledge of MS Office Programs, especially Excel PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Results-driven focus with analytical capability • Solid experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis • Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritise workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills working with peers and various levels of management • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, Essbase) • Fluent written and verbal communication in English Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
