MAASTRICHT GAELS are a thriving student sport association who play two fast and skilful Irish sports: - HURLING/CAMOGIE, a dynamic stick and ball game similar in some respects to hockey or lacrosse- GAELIC FOOTBALL, often described as a mix of football, basketball, handball and rugby. Our male & female teams compete in competitions in the Benelux region and other locations across Europe. We regularly host regional and European Championships on Europe’s only official gaelic games astroturf pitch at Sportpark West (Negenputruwe, 6218 RA, Maastricht).
