ASVA fights for the interests of all 155,000 students in Amsterdam. Is the binding study advice still up to date, what about the quality of education and is enough being done to address the shortage of student housing? This is something the student union is constantly working on. In addition, ASVA has become an indispensable factor in student life through the wide range of services it offers. Students can come to ASVA for free translations, legal aid, training and to borrow items. It also sells hundreds of (cheap!) bicycles every year.
